Basically, organ transplantation is the process of removing a healthy part of the body, surgically, from one person's body and implanting it into another, whose organs have failed or have been severely injured. More than often, such surgeries prove to be lifesaving, giving the person a ray of hope and a lease of life, though the operation is major with drawbacks and potential risks.
